Dale Aluf is the Founder and Principal Analyst at Political Mind, an independent think tank that places human psychology at the center of politics and policy. He engages with governments, international institutions, and the private sector to bridge cultural divides and build capacity to navigate geopolitical risk and uncertainty. He is also a Fellow at SIGNAL Group and writes for Al-Monitor.
Aluf was previously SIGNAL Group’s Research and Strategy Director, where he led an interdisciplinary team examining China’s foreign relations, Middle East affairs, and the politics of emerging technologies. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Intellisia Institute in Guangzhou, China, researching social science perspectives on artificial intelligence.
He has published widely in prominent journals, think tanks, and international media outlets. His work has been cited in the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission Report to Congress, the Naval War College Review, and Japan’s National Institute for Defense Studies. He has delivered lectures and training for government agencies, diplomatic institutions, and leading universities.
Aluf holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and philosophy from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a Master of Science in applied psychology from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
